They could really use with adding a top mounted micro red dot sight on top of the scope for close range rapid reaction shots.
that would work for the carbine portion but not the grenade launcher, also adoption of a mini dot like say the Holosun (Made in the PRC, low cost light weight, small size fairly rugged) could be expanded across to the QBZ95 I and QBZ 03.

I am also not a fan of the helmet mount placement for the eyepiece as it presents the use of NVGs at the same time
We know that they have a second sight model option which may be a NV. When the US was working on XM29 and XM25 the sighting module was day and night rated.
Trying to get a sight picture from helmet mounted NOD through a scope requires a level of contortion not normally found in the human body. So the other options are either mounting to the weapon either infront of, behind or into the gun sight. Or using an alternate means of aiming like....
Also, I wonder if the ZH05 has an integrated IR laser for night ops. Would be a great additional feature for use with NVGs
Adding an IR pointer like what the US has used on it's for a long time now but as you have pointed out to me once. That pointer is a double edged sword. As anyone else wearing NOD will see it to. And if that other party is the opfor they can follow that beam right back to the QST11.
Helmet mounted NOD is because the soldier needs to have other tasks like loading ammo, opening doors moving across obstacles, basically stuff that they need to see to do but need to be hands free and there for can't be looking down the sights of a gun.
The helmet mounted display if it allows the feed from the weapons sight to stream video to the wearer in theory if Light enhancement capable sort of bypass the issue of helmet mounted NVGs vs Scopes. Farthermore, since the NGVs are already a helmet mounted display you could take that feed and plug it into the NVGs. Sort of like how a fist person shooter game generates floating cross hairs there would be the view from your goggles and floating across it to where the weapon is pointed the view from the weapon.

Don't know where to put this so I guess I'll put it here. Not really a very significant news but hopefully this means that we can expect more footage from PLA soldier' personal social media accounts? (like how Americans do it)
TBH if that is true I would be pretty excited. There has always been a lack of footage for my liking:oops:

Les choses avancent, mais le 2e porte-avions chinois ne semble pas être encore prêt pour son premier essai à la mer comme affirment certaines sources depuis l'an dernier.

Things are moving forward, but the 2nd Chinese carrier does not seem to be ready yet for its first attempt at the sea as some sources have claimed since last year.

While this is pretty much where modern battlefield management is heading. I do find the office/cubicle setting to be very jarring, having been accustomed to see more analog tech instead of digital.
It like seeing a stock exchange then actual combat management.

such is the way of modern warfare.
bigger op centers are even more jarring, like COAC:
