They really need to ramp production of these things up if they want to fully equip all the Yuzhaos with them.

By "price" I mean the operator having to live with reduced performance, the most obvious example being the Z-10 in service with the PLA. The model in service may not perform "satisfactorily" per se, the PLA may have deemed having some semblance of the capability better than having none at all.

Additionally, engines on existing airframes can be replaced at a later date.

true, but engines is one of the most expensive parts, I doubt they will be replaced when still in good working condition. I think PLA are reasonably happy with the performance

Can someone independently check this, I am on my phone

I see 6 x Type 726 LCAC in this photo posted elsewhere

If the date is true then this comes after 4 were recently commissioned

This means these are 6 new builds, total units so far then is 16

This would be mean a huge development

Thanks !

To be fair judging by the camo I also thought these are commissioned units

But the black and white satellite photo didn’t show the colours

So it could mean all 6 in the yard are actually not new builds

Which is a bit disappointing and raises the question why are they not out at sea working with the LPD, instead sitting back at the yard
