Ahem..... Your maths is off. Speed of sound is 300 meters per second. Mach 0.95 say 280 meters per second. To travel ,50km take over two minutes . one km taking a bit over 3 seconds. So say approx ,160 seconds. Or 2 minutes 40 seconds

Actually no, the speed of sound is 340 m/s at sea level.

I am investigating this new radar and found this.

This one says its an S-band however, so I maybe wrong in thinking it was a C-band. Article suggests it is inspired from the Thales SMART-L or S1850 radars like this.

I am more in the opinion that its a naval and export version of the Type 305A radar.

Quwa has an article on the new corvette and the radar.

On second thought, this SR2410C looks a lot more like SMART-S, which incidentally is used on the Algerian C28 frigates that were built in China.

But SMART-S looks more like a long and flat hexagon, whereas the new radar is a rectangular with straight sides.

Bangladesh had previously upgraded its Type 053H2s to this radar, replacing the Type 354 Eye Shield. In PLAN service, Type 354 was a common feature in PLAN ships like the Luhu, then it was replaced by Type 360, which in turn was replaced by Type 363. This radar could potentially succeed what is on the Type 056s in future Type 056x variants. Future C13B, P18 corvettes and C28 frigates could see this used.

I previously posted a model of the SR2410C from a defense exhibit. That proved to be the incorrect one. I found this which is the correct one. The exhibit model looks different from the one on Type 053H3 F15 though, basically the IFF transponders are on the top on the F15's, and the bottom on the exhibit model.

This one seems to be a slightly bigger Type 056.

This one is a beaut. Says this one is an unsuccessful bidder for a PLAN requirement. This appears to be an outgrowth of the Type 022.
