Hi can any informed member give me some info about golden helmet competition,is there any restrictions for su30 or any other to compete with j10b/c as I have read most of the time competion between J11B & j10 only

I don't have any insider info. But the news story about the pilot notes, said that J11B beat all Flanker variations and once it comes to the final stage it is always J11B vs J11B, or J11B vs J10 (A, B, A/B mixture) and J11B won three golden helmets in the 2017 competition. IIRC J10 won only one. PLAN was part of competition, so we can be certain Su30 was involved.

While there is no any indication Su35 or J20 was involved, which would be huge news if they were. It is unclear if J10C was used (not mentioned anywhere).

The "2018 first training" pictures contain about 5 or 6 J-16s, there rest were J11. This is new and we can see at least 20 J-16s in the same picture.

• Golden Helmet 2017 started competition on Nov. 1st, 2017 and will last 10+ days
• 16 squadrons will send close to 100 pilots
• Total of 6 "golden helmet" for individual, and one overall squadron level, group prize called "Sky Hawk Cup"
• The competition is done with minimal ground guidance
• Eliminated limitations on EW and payload on "some" jets so it is closer to real combat
• The competition primarily contains two sections: (1) BVR (2) close range for all competitors, and in two forms (1) single jet (2) in pairs

Thanks to the ultra-HD picture posted by78, we can see the last few aircraft in the distance are Su-30s from their pitot tubes and the flat-tipped vertical stabilisers.
