If there is then we won't know about it. When was the last time anyone actually saw a video or even a photo of a PLAN submarine being launched or commissioned ?
Submarines are the PLAN's more guarded secret, and will be for the foreseeable future until China is reasonably confident that it's submarine force is onpar with that of other leading nations.

well, you are correct for SSN and SSBN, but for SSK .. is not that secret

For SSN very possible but difficult ! the 3th 093G seems good designation and not 093B ... and a Yuan 039B was in trials some months ago, total new build 5 or 6
More difficult for nuclear sure and i know ! but in general not infos also for commissoning of SSKs appear later...

Good question for nuclear i think the 1st 093 in 2006... with Chinese President and more recent a surely a Yuan but i can't say

But I was waiting for the end of the year for udapte inventory coz remains possible but very just the 7th 052D join the fleet

Interesting, so can you link me a picture or video of the submarine being commission or launched ?

Shows another of those giant ocean going tugs 6,000 tons

This is likely the 4th unit, 1st was commissioned this year, the 3rd was launched also summer time

Apparently there's a 5th under construction

589 was launched in May 2013 is this photo recent ? I think it is but why 589 is there ?
