Doesn't look like it has any VLS what so ever!!

Yes, there is no VLS on the F125 (although it has decent radars).
There are also no ASW weapons on board (and no ASW sensors).

In german forums they are often called "Kolonialkreuzer" (colonial cruisers),
as they seem only capable to fill very limited roles.

I like have somewhere before, the German Navy missions are different from their NATO peer like France and the Royal Navy. They build ships that will fit with their mission requirements. We will probably never see a German made aircraft carrier in our life time unless the situation calls for it. If NATO has a need for Germany to build up their coalition defenses against say Russia for example than there will be more demand for it. As for now, I don't see the tensions between Russia and NATO are escalating.

And justely waouch ! Aach Bundeswehr :D

Rostock / Kiel

For the first time, the Bundeswehr will return an already taken over ship to its shipyard. Reason are considerable software and hardware defects on board the new frigate "Baden-Wuerttemberg". This is reported by the "Kieler Nachrichten". The Navy, whose command is in Rostock, declined the commissioning. The competent arms office demands from the Hamburg shipyard Blohm + Voss to eliminate the shortcomings.

Following up on forbin's post from yesterday. This is truly embarrassing and sad for blomm voss and the Bundeswehr.
Not only is the F125 next generation frigate toothless but now it's also a lemon!

Franco-German Fighter
France and Germany in July announced high-level plans to collaborate on development of a new combat aircraft as part of a strengthened defense agreement between the countries. They also signed a letter of intent to develop a maritime patrol aircraft. Airbus later unveiled a future airpower concept that combines a low-observable manned fighter with small unmanned combat aircraft.
