And according sailors all ships have leaks :cool:

That's right, that's why everybody has "bilge pumps",,, boats leak, that's what they do,, particularly around shaft seals,,, but for the little Argentine sub, that snorkel leak into the battery compartment was deadly,,, should have blown the ballasts and surfaced and aired that girl out good, even if they needed a tow, kinda embarrassing, but those things happen!

I'll bring my "wet or dry shop vac over Obiwan, we could prolly take a lil ride after noon on Christmas day?? LOL
A friend di the maths, if this leak wasn't fixed it would eventually sink the ship... in 40.3 years! The shipbuilders have said they'll fix it at their own expense, so WTF is the problem? I have another friend who is an experienced Yachtsman, he says 200 litres an hour wouldn't be big deal on a 40 ft yacht, so why everyone's going to panic stations over this is beyond him...

You're absolutely right Bub, and our own little Zummie had her own problems, but that's why we do "shake down cruises", like first flights on aircraft, or ANY TIME a sub has ANY welding on the hull, they take her to "Test Depth" and see what else "lets go"!

Now that would be exciting, but the QE,, hey boats do leak,, landlubbers just don't know, and they don't really care now do they,, especially since the builder is gonna cover it under "warranty", LOL...

which will be extracted in suburbs of Prague by an F-35B pilot, a Brigadier code-named AFB
STOP PUSHING ME AROUND! LOL
who will then land on the carrier for the first time;
the spot for an F-35B landing near Prague will be visibly marked by four flares producing black fire, clearly recognizable through the aircraft's IRST device;
Brigadier AFB, take a supersonic flight to Europe now! do you copy?

On the topic of carrier missile-based hard kill defence systems you can see here that most are either vertical launch cells fitted into a mini-sponson (CdeG and Cavour, both ASTER 15) or trainable launchers on sponsons (America & Nimitz, ESSM and RIM-116 RAM). Easy to retrofit.
