Different cockpit shapes? Could you elaborate?
It's not really a huge difference but is still enough to be noticed ... 2011 to 2016 I believe shared the exact same cockpit design ...

Again an idiot with too much time and not enough talent ...:confused:

LOLOL :D:)

In what interest ?

It would not come to me to do this for a Rafale, incomprehensible curious persons ! never see fakes in western or russian sites or even mag/book in paper for their weapons.

I have also see a time in a magazine a fake number on a true 052C !!! magazine
duped ( before 2nd batch of 4 ) to make believe that it was a new one that did not exist of course

Chinese materials expert Chao Chunxiao claims that the 20% and 29% of J-20's weight consists of titanium alloy and composites, respectively.

Sounds about right, the Center Section and Wing Juncture are likely welded up Titanium, since that is where the greatest concentration of forces acting on the airplane will be magnified trying to tear it apart,,, BWAA HAAAA HHAAAAA! yes, for the novices who believe that "carbon fibre" is the most bestest material ever created, and totally stealthy, that will come as a shock.....

The overhaul/maintenance regime of Soviet legacy engines followed a different PHILOSOPHY....yes..

...but I am a bit confused by your other remarks above. The AL-31 and RD-33 are directly comparable with their US stablemates (from roughly the 1980's when designed) in almost all parameters. Using that F-16 forum as a source of info is just...odd. It is notoriously xenophobic and racist against anything not from the US...and whilst they are generally contemptuous of others aircraft (like Rafale and Gripen) ...it in particular reaches truly awful toxic levels against anything Chinese or Russian.
It's not a site worth wasting time on, or where anything useful or sane can be gleaned.

I find it hilarious that you somehow can't find anything of value from f-16 forum, when actual pilots (Gums) and former F-16 engineers (johnwill) and F100 engineers (TEG) post there. Are there strong pro-US nationalistic sentiment there? Sure. But if you are somehow unable to parse and filter useful insights and dismiss everything on there as xenophobic then it's your own problem.

Wouldn't it be 3D printed: more consistent and lighter. It might have been executed with varying alloy contents. How important is alloying titanium?

There is zero to be learned about Chinese aircraft there, or indeed any component or design used by Chinese aircraft that originates from Russia...due to the extremely xenophobic nature of the posters there. Any and all things Chinese or Russian are mocked and denigrated there as rubbish junk.
Who cares in the context of this CHINESE related forum ( I assume you are aware of the subject matter of this site) what past posters did on an F-16 previously at that toxic site? We are here to talk about CHINESE aircraft.
Why is that so hard for you to figure out?
Any information posted on that site regarding Chinese or Russian aircraft is basically rubbish that only serves to denigrate or put down. That is not "pro US nationalistic" as you have tried to explain it away..but deeply xenophobic with a racial tinge. It is infamous and notorious across the web for that for a good reason...and deservedly so.
If you are unable to see that..you need serious help.

Enough on the off topic or defending the indefensible already. This is about the Chinese J-20.
