It say 052D is 6,200 tons and 055 10,000 tons? ... so it is clearly for empty load. As we know that 052D full load is 7,500 tons

Small SSN? interesting! ... how small? as small as French Barracuda?
Actually, we don't know that at all. AFAIK the PLAN has never published any "full" displacement figures for the 052D or the 055. We know that the 055's full displacement must be greater than 10,000 tons because its dimensions are greater than both the Arleigh Burke and Ticonderoga classes, weighing in at 9,200 tons and 9,800 tons, respectively. But that is all we know for sure. Probably these are "normal" displacement figures, which seems to be what the PLAN is using these days. I believe "normal" displacement refers to a 2/3 load of fuel, stores, and munitions (note that this is NOT the same as 2/3 of the ship's full displacement).

As for the sub, if the graphic is correct at 7,000 tons, this is no "small" sub. It would be a full-sized SSN. The Type 093 is supposedly 7,000 tons submerged, for example.

I thought he was referring to two different subs, a 7000t one and a small one.

7000 ton is the next (after 09 III) (full sized) SSN "New Type SSN"

Here you can see there are two subs he talked about, the New SSN and the Small SSN

I am very curious about the type of reactor in the small SSN, how does it work, does anybody have a bigger and clearer photo of it?
It is of three-loops design rather than two-loops used by conventional SSN. My focus is the right most part depicting the 3rd loop in color green. What kind of electricity generator is it?
