What a view to see when you are peeing.:D:p Anyway those are NOT toilets, but urinals without stalls. It's pretty common in ball parks, airports, and military barracks.

I can imagine a bit of the joy that he gets when visiting his hometown. I remember my dad told me about how he felt when he could not go home after they smuggled out to Hong Kong. He told me that, all he and some other people could do is look at China from a distance in the Hong Kong restricted area , which is near the border, when they get home sick. During the mid to late 70s, China was opening up a bit for trade, and my dad got the chance to go to Guangzhou trade show. He wrote a letter to his family and a lot of them came to Guanzhou to see him. That cured his homesick for a bit. The next opportunity where he went to Guangzhou to buy a fridge and used a motor tricycle (东风三轮车)to bring it back to his hometown, he was so happy. Hilarious thing was that my dad knew the road better than the driver and my dad was so worried that the driver would get lost returning to Guangzhou. My dad was so happy that he could visit his family
