I know Steve. He doesn't like being 'Rogered!'

Yeah, you're right when Steve says "ready Venus?", she bats here eyes when she says "Okay Steve"! so technically you're right, but having a lovely wife, and seven daughters, I can recognize that chemistry, and that sexy little European accent she uses on him, same as Donald and Melania!

The Brat knows who was really "pulling Steve's Strings"! but then I know almost everything, including ski ramps, and BD was right about that too, but he's the real SDF expert on the fairer sex! not that little "test bd"...

Recently found this graphic illustrating the schedule for UK Carrier Strike reintroduction I think the speculative dates for the third and fourth F-35B squadrons are somewhat pessimistic, and will probably happen a lot sooner than stated (my guess is sqn-03 stands up in 2025 and sqn-04 by 2027), but it's all guesswork at the moment:

More nice pics.

Like I said...if the Japanese wanted to, or felt they had too, I could see them purchasing 24 F-35Bs and putting 8-10 on each of those vessels.

Ten F-35Bs would be a force, though small, that could not be ignored on the high seas.

Of course, the Wasp calss, and the new America clas are set up to operate up to 20 of them in the Carrier Sea Control role, taking all of the air assault, and amphibious assault troops and equipment off in that even.

20 F=35Bs would also be something that could not bee ignored.

The US is going to be capable of having its eleven full aircraft carriers with F-35s and F/A-18E and F/-18F, and EA-18G aircraft...and then be able to supplement those with as many as four of the Wasp/America class in a sSea Control carrier role anytime they need to. That would be fifteen carriers.

Add two Japanese, to Korean, and two Australian vessels with F-35Bs on them...and you can see the game that the US intends on playing for staying far ahead of anyone else in terms of having overpowering Naval Air aviation assets available.

All of that would make 20 carriers available...and that does not even include the two Royal NAvy carriers or the French carrier if needed.

now you put up! while I think the whole idea of spending a fortune on two F-35B supercarriers is LUDICROUS considering the current shape of the RN, I'll be following the development, so ... the seven-years countdown to
2023 "Full operating capability (Carrier Strike)"
starts!

I have see Izumo could host 12 F-35B, 20 America, Wasp able for 20 AV-8B how many F-35B ? surely 12 after ?

But main point despite modern SAMs are very dangerous the last have a very long range capable do almost interdiction, their range exceeds those of the attacker 's weapons... CAP are really useful efficient for defend TF with a range more important than SAMs ofc a LHD without AEW get a CAP less efficient.

I believe both the Wasp and the America will take up to 20 F-35s. The Ameica hangar is bigger and can store more below...but the Wasp, as they have shown with the HArriers, can sopt them on deck.

That capability, and the US advertising it means that the US Navy is ketting any potential agressor know that the US is prepared to up the ante and create more carriers anytime it needs to.

Now, we just need a V-22 AEW and V-22 ASW variant to complete the picture for the Wasp and America classes in that role.

Heck, a ASW V-22 would be good for the nuclear carrier as well...replace the capability they let go when the retired the S-3s too soon.
