'FC'-10232 can't make a guess it might be simply a JF-17 blk-2 32nd jet but style of numbering is different then JF-17 in production (like 2P-**) secondly here in Pakistan official designation is JF (Joint Fighter) not the FC (Fighter China) ..... but plz restrain yourself to make any wild guesses .....

The fact that some parts of the plane are built in China (or were in the past made in China), might explain this style of serial number on individual parts of the plane.

Is it known which parts are currently sourced from China and which are build in Pakistan ?

Ok a list of numbers of JF17 aircraft produced per year

07-101 to 07-105 thats 5 units
08-106 to 08-108 that's 3 units
09-109 to 09-112 that's 4 units
10-113 to 10-128 that's 16 units
11-129 to 11-136 that's 8 units
12-137 to 12-142 that's 6 units
13-143 to 13-150 that's 8 units

In 2014 they stopped for Block II

15-201 to 15-216 that's 16 units
And up to Sep 2016 we have reached 16-232 so that's 16

That's not including exports and any additional units in the last 3 months

Interesting they built more in 2 years than last 3-4 years combined

Looks like they have streamlined production

Ok had another thought

Last year they said they produced 16 and in 2016 around 24 were projected

So if they made 16 up till September they could have built up to 20 by years end

If they add in the 3 for Nigeria and 3 out of the 16 for Myanmar that's just over 24 units

I remember the chief saying 16 is a good rate for PAF order books to keep things ticking over

They could ramp up to 25-30 if exports are secured, so keeping the first 15-20 for PAF and the other 5-10 for exports

Well exports are secured and seems like the production rate has indeed climbed to approximately 25 units

So I don't think PAF requirements are effected by export orders because PAC has extra capacity to meet export demand

This is a interesting development and good production plan by PAC

FC-10 is Pakistan's designation for J-10s. Looks tantalizingly like the dorsal spine of a J-10. Or maybe it was put their just to get every Pakistani on edge of their seats, daring to say it out loud, "its J-10 in PAF colors!!!"

no my dear it was just a plain & simple blk-II JF-17 at manufacturing jig where front fuselage (made in PAC Kamra Pakistan) & central fuselage (made in China as per work share agreement) were joint for the first time during the manufacturing ... BTW see the asif Iqbal post at this very thread he explain it with previous example leaving no doubt what so ever .... about the FC/JF decal on the jet ....
