This is the best documentary on battle of Chosin NO Propaganda NO accusation of swarm of peasant army committing Banzai charge. But just bravery and sacrifice, suffering

You see the sacrifice on both side of the war unbelievable As a kid I read the story of Chinese tactic to overcome their deficiency in weapon and air power by hiding themselves in cave and only move at night. Using strict disciple of concealment , envelopment and attack, they succeed in stopping the MacArthur army and buy China precious peace until now

There was immense hardship and suffering on both sides.

I had an uncle who was at the fight and he used to talk sometimes about it.

Both sides see I from their perspective and there was enough suffering, hardship, and bravery to go around pon both sides.

The US Marines there were vastly outnumbered, but mainly because of their air superiority and all of those other things I just spoke of, they were able to conduct a fighting retreat and keep from being annihilated.

The Chinese showed their own discipline and ability anf willingness to keep advancing under unbelievably harsh conditions, where so many of them were being slaughtered in thise same harsh conditions.

As I say...there was more than enough hardship, suffering, bravery, and amazing feats under -fire to go around on both sides of an incredibly difficult set of circumstances for both sides.

The Chinese equivalent of Choisin is the battle of Shangganlin, or Triangle Hill.

PVA forces held out for 42 days against a combined American and South Korean force, and, despite facing artillery and air superiority, ultimately repelled the attacks.

The theme song that the movie based on this battle is remembered by anyone who has watched it. Sung by Guo Lanying for the movie, and sung by the current first lady Peng Liyuan.
