Google-translator says something of Weihai ... but so far there is no PLAAF or PLANAF base.

2014年威海机场机堡建设进行中
2014 Weihai airport plane bunker(HAS) in construction

The thread appears to be talking about where did the J7G go and where did the J10 come from.

I searched about PLAAF in Weihai.

Highlighted part translates to
12th Division Jinan(Weihai), Shandong

So there was PLAAF in Weihai with the J7s they are talking about.

And since the construction pictures are from 2014, and they already are counting the hangars from Google Earth, along with J-10 stationed there(if that post is accurate), the construction is probably finished some time ago.

Thanks a lot, but it is strange .. 12. Fighter Division now - already since several years - has 2y3x-serials with the following current regiments:

34th Air Regiment at Qihe - J-10A/AS
35th Air Regiment at Gaomi - J-8II, JJ-7
36th Air Regiment at Wendeng - J-7G, JJ-7A

Burt if it was taken at a J-10's regiment, then it's at Qihe and not Weihai

What's preventing Iran to purchase Chinese fighter jets and ships? Are they waiting to get better jets from EU? What models do you think they want to buy?

They want Flankers and buy them in Russia.
Perhaps they are happy with the ships they are building themselves.

I did a search online and cannot find any flights from US to Tehran, I did not expect a direct flight but I found zilch. Amazing how there is no flights going to Tehran from any of the online travel sites. May have to travel via China instead.

Has anyone, perhaps some of our Pakistani friends, been to Iran and how practical is it for a healthy American to visit Iran? I expect some difficulties considering the sanctions, But I mean Wow and how unspoiled and intriguingly Wow is this.

I have read

but it does not sound like there are restrictions on travel.

Hi everybody
Chinese aviation industry Can upgrade the Iranian Su-24Mk Fencer?
Iran has been able to keep F-14's flying so it might not need help. China has no experience with Su-24 so would not be considered. Iran has good relations with Russia, is buying Flankers from Russia, so help from Russia is the obvious way.
How many Su-24 has Iran anyway?

Due the economic problems, iran can not buy enough flanker from Russia , therefore iran need's to modernize some aircraft such as sukhoi Su- 24 Fencer.
Iran and China can be modernize sukhoi su-24, weapons and avionics in joint project.

China has no experience with Su-24 so cannot help. Iran will have to do it either alone or with help from Russia which I expect will be available. After all Iran is a valuable customer of military equipment as well as nuclear power reactors and in future much more besides being valuable ally in defending both countries against threats from the Middle East.
