The wing leading edge extension seems to have been enlarged and straightened. The pattern of openings behind the cockpit has also changed.

The division between flap and aileron have been moved further outboard, so the aileron is now noticeably smaller. I wonder if this is done to reduce landing speed or shorten takeoff run by increasing the area of the flap? Or perhaps it was done to move the division between flap and aileron to where the wing folding hing would be in a future carrier version?

anybody buying all this??? I don't have time to look, but that is an awful lot of engineering this late in the game, I would chalk some of it up to the new paint making these things more obvious?? not saying you're wrong bud, but nobody else had mentioned this?

To admit I don't understand this surprise ... this all is known since '2011' and all other aircraft have the same modified configuration. The only "last minute" changes are the slightly modified tail-sponsoons and with '2017' a new canopy.

Most of what Richard has mentioned has been visible and identified since prototype 2011 came out.

Usually from time to time AL-31F engine display some smokey trail.
Just curious has anyone ever see J-20-sn 201x flying with smoky engine ?

What so significant about those J-20-sn 2101 engine flame color ?
As with ( Yellow outer ring + Bluish middle Flame ) that we have seen from flying J-20-sn 201x and J-20-sn 2101 ... ...

Has anyone ever seen AL-31F engine with this kind of flame color ?

Many Thanks to Adam. Y
