The Nicaraguan Air Force will get Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 (“Fulcrum”) fighter jets to improve its air defense capabilities of its maritime territory, Brigadier General Adolfo Zepeda of the Ejército Nicaragüense told reporters on 10 February 2015.
The star officer is the inspector of the Nicaraguan Armed Forces. According to general Zepada the planes will be bought to deny drug trafficking aircraft the use of our air space and are purely meant to be used in a defensive role.
Colombia
However, Latin American watchers say the announcement can be seen as hostile by neighbouring Colombia, with whom Nicaragua has an uneasy relationship with. The two countries have a dispute over tens of thousands of square miles of sea area that was officially settled in 2012 by the International Court of Justice in The Hague. But the rational ruling doesn’t change what the “national hearts” feel.
Apart from the wish to buy a yet unknown number of MiG-29s, Nicaragua is also seeking eight new patrol boats according to Brig. Gen. Zepada.
The Fuerza Aérea Nicaragüense is a small armed service of about 30 aircraft, with no real fighting power apart from two dozen armed Mil Mi-17 Hip assault helicopters from Russia and – if operational – four Aermacchi SF.260s basic trainers with underwing hardpoints to serve in a light ground attack role.

Argentina likely to buy 20 Chinese-made FC-1 Xiaolong fighter aircraft
Argentina and China signed deal for 20 FC-1 fighter aircraft in order to increase aerial capabilities of the Argentina. The move, which further raised tensions in the South Atlantic last night, follows a three-day visit by President Kristina de Kirchner to Beijing last week, in which Argentina secured 15 economic agreements and significant financial investment to bolster its failing economy.

It comes after a decision by Buenos Aires to abandon talks with Vladimir Putin to secure 12 Sukhoi Su-24 'Fencer" bombers.
Last night sources told the Sunday Express that the deal with Russia, revealed by the Sunday Express in September, had stalled after a series of delays and concerns over post-sale maintenance.

However, that failure will see Argentina now take delivery of 20 of the Chinese-made fighter jets.

In a "working group" formed by the two countries, Beijing agreed to supply around 20 FC-1 fighter jets produced by the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation.

In fact many annoucements contradictory
Contradictory, indeed!
I just consider the number of aircraft in this reported deal, 20, to be an unusual number of aircraft for an air force to order. I could, very well, be incorrect, but aren't air squadrons usually equipped with ~12 aircraft + ~25% for attrition? And, Argentina doesn't need additional trainers as the FAdeA IA 63 Pampa is still in service.
