If China pushed it. Then chances are that by the 2030s the list would look like this, Russia with there submarine launched for sure and possible surface derives, the Iranians or so they claim, The US, China, Germany, and Japan with south Korean and UK and France as wild cards
with Japan, Russia, Germany and The US exporting to client states. The Iranians may also have some and may sell the tech to North Korea. India would like import from either the US, Russia or Japan. With Australia likely buying from either the US, Japan or Germany. The South Koreans and UK are wild cards they could develop there own versions or import from allies most likely the US or Germany. Japan is a nation that is all about keeping up with the Jones, if China is building it they will to and with there new push towards export friendly options that opens up possibilities. I don't list Brazil as in all likelihood they would license or import. France is in Nato and a little more finicky, I am not sure how they would go but figure they might buy German or joint develop but they tend to avoid the US as a partner so maybe Joint with Japan, Germany or the UK. The Italians would import from Germany or the US. Israel would Import from the US.
Taiwan would want some as well and would likely either Buy American or Japanese. Vietnam and most of the rest would either keep existing conventional or buy Russian export.

Its one or the other. The shape of a super cave is that of a bullet not a tear drop, next the super cav works by rocket propulsion to generate thrust in the air bubble. The propeller even a jet propulser would be redundant in the cavitation.
Next the Chinese breakthrough here is the claim that they now have a way of turning. Via alternating thrust and altering the shape of the cavitation. Still in the end it comes down to practical matters of price and proliferation. The US, Germany and Russia are both know to have super cavitation technology's and the Iranians claim to have it, and may have copied the Russians.

You can have the propeller to work for the much of the journey, shut it down and kick in the sup cav during the last stage, much like a ramjet missile. This way, the noise will be heard during its final moment and the distance covered will be longer.

By air-launched, I meant not just from an aircraft, but also from surface vessels, and to fly like a missile and dive into the water within the vicinity of the sub.

Everyone is talking of this so called new tech but can anyone in-vision how much fuel it will require to operate this?
In all likely hood there will not be enough room for cargo left to make it viable for any kind of mission.

Personally I think this particular development has been sensationalised by SCMP and others. The big take away here should be confirmation of development of super cavitation vehicles, and the progress in allowing such vehicles to maneuver.

I don't think anyone seriously believes it can be developed into some kind of super underwater ferry.

Yeah why would anyone want to travel in a sub except for fun. Technologically it will probably be easier and less expensive to travel in a hypersonic aircraft. There is a practical usefulness in this technology and that is military.

Its practical nature though is restricted, primarily to attack systems submarine warfare. Submarine to submarine torpedos, surface to submarine torpedo's, next generation submarine to air missiles. Anything larger and it gets to bit on power needs.

I need the one at the middle bottom with what looks like to be a blow horn (probably hydraulic system, but that'll work too) to wake up my neighbor's dog. To see how they like it when I wake them up in the middle of their sleep.;):p

The blow horn looks as if it has two feed pipes going to it. Is it a flame thrower? In that case you would fry the dog and possibly burn the house down.
