Two great wall papers of a US Navy exercise involving three US Navy aircraft carrier strike groups, one with joint operations and the US Air Force.

Excellent photos gents!

In case you fellows did not know those carriers from left to right are;

Abraham Lincoln

Kitty Hawk

Ronald Reagan

Kitty Hawk
was decommissioned on 12 May 2009. She was placed in reserve and shall remain so until Gerald R Ford is commissioned. She is the only USN carrier held in reserve.

Yep, and each one of them has a Ticonderoga AEGIS cruiser and two AEGIS Burke destroyers as escorts.

Then the replenishment ship with a Oliver Hazard Perry FFG escorting her.

I imagine that there are probably three SSNs that we are not seeing as well.

Potent force of three CVNs, three AEGIS CGs, and six AEGIS DDGs, as well as probably three SSNs.

How can you tell? I could barely make out the CV number on the deck to ID them.
