MASH was a big programme when I was a kid

I was pleased to find a selection of scenes cut together from the final episode, detailing the end of Hawkeye's story.
He is back in the States but is in a Military Psychiatric Hospital after suffering a breakdown. In the clips a doctor forces him to confront the event that forced him over the edge. Qudos to Alan Alda for some brilliant acting and one of the most powerful, harrowing and heartbreaking pieces of television I have ever seen.

One of my favorite Tv shows of all time was Hogans Heroes. A show about Allied POWs conducting covert ops in a Luftwaffe Stalag run by an inept Luftwaffe Colonel and his equally inept rather obese Sargent. Hogans Heros was voted one of the worst Tv shows of all times because it portrayed life in a POW camp in a comedic style.

Three of the shows stars Werner Klemperer & John Banner were Jews that escaped in some form Nazi tyranny. Cast member & Robert Clary also a Jew spent three years in a Nazi concentration camp.

Bob Crane the shows star was brutally murdered in a motel room in Arizona in 1978. The case remains unsolved.

One of my all time favorite actors passed away Saturday. Mr James Garner.

RIP in peace James Garner ..Rest in peace. And thank you James for your service to our country.

I watched the Rockford Files for years. Since I was stationed in the Philippines in the 70s. I enjoyed most of his films. My particular favorite was

I remember long ago when I was a kid one of my pops favorite shows was Maverick. We could not talk when Maverick was on the air. And if James Garner was not on the show..he did not watch it. Jack Kelly who played Bart Maverick often appeared alone on the show and in the Later years Roger Moore appeared as Beau Maverick their English cousin in later episodes after James quit in a dispute with Warner Brothers.

James Garner appeared in only 60 episodes of the 124 episodes of Maverick.

He shall be missed.

The Rockford Files...every opening to the show had a different message during the opening. This is not the correct video you would see if you watched the show..

I lived in Cincinnati OH growing up. We never got Thunderbirds on TV. I never saw the show until the 80s when I happened on one of the Thunderbirds movies on Tv.

As for Space 1999..I honestly never really like that show.

Robotech one of my favorite shows growing up. The plane in the show the VF-1 Valkyrie is based on the F-14 Tomcat.

Another great show Heathcliff. Those where the days were you can get an intro of more than a minute for a 25 minutes show. These days they just give you about 30 seconds!
