Sadly not, but this is an older image of a J-11 from the former 29. Fighter Division (FD). As far as I know the former 86. AR / 29. AD was transferred to the 14. FD and became 41. AR ... as such this unit no longer exists in this form.

Regarding any "regiment emblems or anything like that" I have to disapoint You, since all current Flankers are simply more or less the same with barely any differences (besides a different shade of grey maybe).

Once the 1. and 2. FD wore briefly colourful division emblems ... but these days are gone. As far as I remember the only special marks on a PLAAF Flanker are some formation stripe on a few 1. AD birds and a prominent Chinese Flag on a few 2. AD aircraft.

Thanks!

I will share some pictures here once it is finished. It is getting close, already painted the main colors. Weapons, decals and exhaust left...

That's not New Yauck girls, that is mainland China where men apparently can still be men, and I am smiling but really, a couple of forum jockeys are going to tell the PLAAF how they should operate their own aircraft, over their own territory, and call the pilot names...... I once was a passenger in an aerobatic aircraft that likely lifted a few shingles off his Mom and Daddies Feed store in the Middle of Town,,,,,,pop 97, no one complained and I know they knew we were there. I used girls thinking of the top gun line where goose???? states the second place plaques are kept on wall of the ladies room.

Our own scared of our shadow national psyche is causing serious damage to combat readiness and the Esprit-de-Corp......I was once awakened by nearly a dozen C-130s at "tree-top-level, literally, in an "in trail" formation, no that would NOT be done in todays PC climate, and with lawyers on every corner looking for a way to scam up another small fortune.... My own Pappy took our family Dr. on Okinawa, who had asked my Dad if there were any way he could catch a flight home to the Phillipines, to be with his dying Mother, himself personally, and told him when he was ready to come back to Okinawa, call me and I'll come get you, and he did!

Nah, that wouldn't happen in todays Air Force, that's why the military is broke, and why it is unlikely to be fixed in this whimpy climate, but come on guys, those China citizens know that pilots, in those aircraft, are putting their lives on the line everyday to keep the mainland safe from?????? oh well, you know what I mean, and yes they really do put their lives on the line, and no I wouldn't think you would begrudge them a little recognition that they might gain by making a low pass over home, maybe to let wifey know, I'll be home for dinner soon honey?????

Colonel
A question, are military fighter jets allowed to fly so low? and near civilian areas?

dunno..but I'm gonna be woken up I rather to be woken up by the roar of jet engines and smells of JP5 than by my neighbors 10 ibs mutt whose bark is much much bigger than his bite.

I've been woken up by CF-18s before and it's a lot more effective than a Samsung phone alarm clock.

I think the military is allowed to fly fighters in civilian areas given an emergency.
