Actually Hell did freeze over.

Is that a town in Michigan?

Nah, it's just gonna get iced up in Houston just like a couple of days ago. My car was cover in thin sheets of ice that I have to scrape off after dousing it with a bucket of hot water just to get to work.

Good thing your temps are "mild"... otherwise that water would freeze in your door jams and door locks... and you'd be ridin' the bus to work... spray some,

Your are welcome..

You guys in H-town make sure your door jams on your cars are dry.. otherwise the doors will freeze shut. no foolin'..If your car is parked outside put some cardboard under the windshield wipers so they will not freeze to the windshield.. they will rip apart. if they do freeze to the windshield just run your defroster to free them up. Don't try to pull the wipers up..otherwise... you'll be going to your local auto parts joint to get some new wipers. DO NOT put your wipers up..

...some wise guy may break them off. Use your front windshield de-fogger to keep your windows clear. Run that bad boy full blast. DO NOT recirculate the air in your car .

...if you do your windows may fog up on the inside. Slow down when you drive. Stay home if you don't need to go out. If you do need to go out give your self plenty of extra time to get to your destination. Remember a lot of folks in H-town have never driven in winter weather.

Have fun gents!

BD Popeye your cold weather adviser and aircraft carrier expert.. well kinda an expert.

Hey Popeye, on behalf of all Houstonians on SDF, I would like to thank you for your valuable advice! We houstonians don't get much cold weather down here in the H-town. First time ever heard of locks being frozen shut... Guess that's what you get when you live in a 110 deg oven for most time of the year

I will put some cardboard under my windshield wiper and spray some WD40 into the locks tonight. If I had a choice, I would have parked my car into my garage, but got 3 cars with only a two-car garage.

Sound like driving in winter is no joke. Fortunately, the lowest temperature we have this year is 16C (60.8F). A little cold at night when our windows are opened; however, it's rather cool in the day time, better than the burning April (40C or 104F).
