I would imagine in their simulators they all train for all sorts of contingencies, including belly landings. Very few...very very small perentage ever have to actually do it though. In this case it is clear that the pilot, his training, the aircraft tiself, and the conditions came together to allow him to do so very successfully.That was really a master class landing, a text book procedure which should be taught to every pilot
