24 Canadian citizens died on 911 And don't Think Just because Canada seems too be the quiet neighbor too the north of the United states that terrorists would not attack it. the population of Canada's urban centers is as west as one can get perfect targets. the attitude that it could never happen here is the same one that causes more deaths. simply sticking your head in the sand because some one is swinging an Ax will not save your neck.
In conflicts Innocent people always get hurt it's a fact as old as time and War.
But modern military's like Canada, the UK, NATO and the U.S. try too restrict that as much as possible Terrorists By contrast feed on that. The aim of terrorism is Terror and the best way too do that is innocents.

WTF......this is non-sense, why on earth would any terrorists attack Canada? We're not conducting any carpet bombing operations in the Middleeast or neither are we supporting any coups d'état in foreign countries. If there's no hatred, then there wouldn't be any attacks on us. People don't randomly just decide to blow up themselves for no reason.

I remember when I was a little younger, my family and I visited Saskatchewan (Regina to be precise). When we saw on the travelling manual that the Saskpower tower was open to public, we went to see it. As we got there, the security told us that it was closed to public due to security concerns after 911. Even at the age of 12, I already had enough common sense to say WTF? Who with the right mind would attack a small town with mostly seniors.

First of all, there's nothing that Canada had done to others that is bad enough to make people explode themselves or wanting to explode anyone else.

Second of all, even if you hate those cow farmers so much, detonating yourself in Saskatchewan wouldn't make anyone notice.

Canadians should keep living the way our grandparents have lived over the last 50 years, that is to not inflict any anger or hatred in other people. Treat everyone with respect and you will be respected. No body would want to blow you up if you enter their country with a smile and respect their customs, especially if you enter with peace instead of tanks and guns.

Harper is just a dumb ass, he should learn from Jean Chrétien. If it was for Jean Chrétien, we would probably be bombed by someone already.

Awesome shots. I personally saw the HMCS Algonquin at the national day celebrations. I believe they are equipped with 32 VLS and have been successful at intercepting sea skimming targets.

[h=2]Exercise Maritime Raider 2012[/h]

Canadian Army personnel conducted Exercise MARITIME RAIDER (Ex MR 12) at the Virginia National Guard Maneuver Training Center, Fort Pickett, Virginia, from March 1 to 11, 2012.

Canadian Brigade Group (37 CBG) comprised of Canadian Army Reserve units in New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador, participated in Ex MR 12. The exercise provides Canadian participants the opportunity to train side by side in a multi-national task force environment. Units from the U.S. Army, Navy, Army National Guard and Air Force will participate in the training providing the Canadians the opportunity to operate and train with their U.S. counterparts in an effort to develop their interoperability skills and build strong ties.

Ex MR 12 provided the participants with the opportunity to apply lessons learned during previous training to further develop their abilities to respond to situations as they happen and prepare them for future deployment at home and abroad.
