The static test airframe should still be rigged to a airframe stress simulator having the living daylights shaken out of it.

As for lighting, well I do not remember ever seeing any sort of lighting that can make a dark material look many shades lighter in nature.

They either re-painted it, or this is another airframe, either a mock up, or another flying prototype.

We should know more soon.
Unless they're already done shaking the crap out of it (after all sometimes static frame tests are completed before flight tests start). Then it would be sitting around in retirement somewhere...

my take is its the usual J-20 we see

lighting and ambience can produce all kinds of colors and effects, and cold colors + sky ambience explains that picture

static airframe will probably never see the daylight, like wolfie said, why would they bring her out anyway, to give it fresh air? :p

isn't this and old pic anyway?

I would think it makes sense to continue shaking, after repairing the damage done to the test article.

The angle is certainly old but the people look different...

Here are some more ... and if You scroll down then there sem to be (at kleast one) factory fresh newly painted J-10 too ... hopefully for the next unit !
