Hmm, how likely is a Vietnamese intervention?
Propably unlikely because the Thais would have to be much more dangerous than they are in order to have Cambodia calling in the Viet, is it possible for Cambodia to use the threat of "make peace or we call in Vietnam!" as a bargaining chip?

If the Thai already struggle with the Cambodian army, the Vietnamese army would rip them a new one...

Vietnam is pretty dated in terms of military, plus their own financial status isn't that good to support such a war unless somebody paid the bill; besides, Vietnam has to worry about "pressure from the north", especially when they've to ask China for financial aid...

To stop Myanmar from engaging in any misadventures. A few WS-1s aimed at a Tatmadaw command post should make even Than Shwe think thrice whenever he gets bored and wants to try out his new T-72 tanks and MiG-29s on a real military.

China would back Cambodia over Thailand though

Hmm, so China I understood that the Chinese-vietnamese war was partly due to China being unwilling to accept any notion of South East Asian hegemony under Vietnam (or under anyone else but China), given that Hanoi does not seem to pursue hegemonian goals, Sino-Viet relations are perhaps no longer as rocky as they are supposed to be?
