^^ The satellite picture might not be real. I don't think that google earth updates photos that fast.
Do we have a way to finally confirm they got 2 prototypes? I think someone brought up the point that no one has seen two planes together. It's always one or the other. So is there a way to find out that there are 2 planes with different engines?
It's not in google earth itself. However, this might be a satellite picture imported into GE and obtained from somewhere else. It is surely possible, people do that all the time with other areas. I imported it into GE to check the dimensions. Everything around the plane corresponds to the GE image, though with a few changes here and there (which is acceptable, as GE's image is over two years old)
If it's fake, I must congratulate the perpetrator. The dimensions of the K-8 and the J-10 are perfect. THere are none of those planes in the GE imagery. Lots of cars and activity has been added. And improvements to the airfield itself have seemingly been added. And seemingly a few changes to the infrastructure surrounding the airfield.
My point is: If it was fake, surely they'd just edit in a J-20 picture onto existing imagery.
Well if the picture is, in fact, real, I'd say that the J-20 is a bit smaller than we thought it was. Instead of being 23 meters long it is only about 19-20 meters long, slightly longer than the Raptor and Pak-Fa.
However, some experts (such as Richard Fisher), believe that the J-20 will be the equal of the F-22 in 10 to 15 years.
No, F-22 has a single weapons bay in the center which is wide, not long... (EDIT: Well alright, I can understand what you mean by long -- but in the realm of 5th generation aircraft weapon bays, the F-22's would be considered wide rather than long. The T-50's weapon bays would be considered "long")

There are two doors for the main bay but it's still considered one, not two.
J-20 probably has a bay similar to the F-22's but could be a bit longer --regardlses we haven't got pictures of it yet. And having an internal payload in the F-35 realm isn't exactly something to brag about -- as of now they can only hold half the AA missile load of the F-22.
I take it that the "Gee Whizz" stuff in the F-22 is so far ahead of anything else that it won't need upgrading?
Nor was there any comparison made with the F35
