Since there's a lull right now, I have an OT question. What does "TG" stand for? I see it used in Chinese BBS all the time. Seems to mean the government or something?

TG = 土共。 It also looks like the sickle and hammer symbol of the Communist party (T being the hammer and G being the sickle).
