Some US stock stooges are salivating to the idea that China will restrict their own models outside China ( why they would do that? nobody has explained to me) either way, they want believe it. Price is important and US models can't compete in that area without sacrificing intelligence. Also because Chinese models are popular, open weights and open source banning them is becoming increasingly difficult.
China issued warning on Claude.
so Claude code warning imo came way too late.

I will say again with respect for Anthropic and Claude Code. If you personally use Claude Code, then don't waste your time calling it out here, because you are a giant hypocrite. I specifically asked Zai person I interviewed on what I can use to try GLM models out without using Claude Code. I only migrated to GLM after ZCode came out. And frankly, it's a really good program. They update it so frequently.
Is Claude that good??? Asking because I don't have a subscription and haven't tried it.
