Do we have any good sources (or posts) as to likely PLA strike doctrine when it comes to a Malacca blockade? Would like to also know of any writing related to Sunda/Lombok strait related strategy.

Major
Malacca Straits is an international water way the security of which is currently undertaken by 3 countries, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Any blockade of the straits is against international law and UN convention, and will be opposed not only by above mentioned 3 countries but also countries whose trades depend on this water way.

The first reaction would be an emergency meeting at UN Security council, and if US is the one that block the straits it can veto any UN declaration. Most likely outcome would be a military bloc (outside of UN) headed by China with almost all of ASEAN countries except Philippines. China would likely have the consent to base their forces in ASEAN, with the objective to unblock the shipping in the straits.

Which mean PLA may send ground forces, air force and navy to ASEAN, basically Malaysia and Indonesia, but keep the rocket force in China. How the war or battles are to be fought depends on what the opponent deploys. that is anyone's imaginations.

And this would make ASEAN abandon its neutral stand and will be ally to China.

China has only one Cruise company called Adora cruise and they owned 2 ship that operate mostly in China periphery. So I don't understand how that news can be possible unless we lived in a parallel worl
So maybe oil tanker? I mixed them up.

How big of a difference would it make if the United States pulls most of its military from its other global commitments to fight China? What if they just decide to go all in and use everything they have? How about this + a militarized japan?

If the entirety of the US military magically shows up immediately, then PLA is in a bit of a rough spot. Of course, so is the US; there are not enough logistical centers to support such a deployment of troops for longer than at most 2-3 weeks in East Asia. A militarized Japan is a little more self-sufficient, but still well within the capabilities of the PLA to fight.

The fuel pipelines at Japanese naval port are still the same ones built during World War II, and any expansion would first require constructing large‑scale modern infrastructure — a task that none of the involved parties are particularly good at.
