There's too many funny sections in this op-ed, but there are moments of lucidity where the author regains his senses (if only for a paragraph or two):

...but he can't restrain himself from praising how effective American ABM defences were in Iran. Since the UAE intercepted 99% of Iranian BMs and drones without expending all of its Patriots, that obviously means that the outcome will also be the same with China. But in the U.S. Navy's case, they will (somehow?) intercept 100% of the PLARF/PLAN's larger stockpile of far more advanced BMs and AShMs!

Probably the most ridiculous section is where the author tries to insinuate that Chinese IADS is just as lacking as Iran's was (Venezuela-style). Therefore, the USAF and USN should be able to fly with impunity over mainland China, neutralising BM launch sites and simultaneously carry out decapitation strikes against the CMC...

...and one last moment of lucidity:

You mean like what China has been doing for the last two decades?

I can't tell if American think-tankers really are getting dumber with every passing year. Then again, if the Pentagon and the White House are listening to the "advice" of people like this, then perhaps it is a good thing for China in the long run.
Dude is like an LLM on PCP hallucinating his way to victory with a few moments of clarity when the PCP wears out.

I disagree -- Iran is the only party that matters as it can open and close the strait as it sees fit. This action is illegal according to the international law. Oman does not want to take the heat for money it does not really need. Means nothing for the Arab soft power -- as they cannot really dictate the action unlike the Iran. What power is that if one cannot veto the action it does not like?
Iran can 100% close the strait or put heavy toll on it. it does not matter to Saudi. Saudi already put $20 premium to oil sales to Asia.
Iran has very weak military. it just have drones and missiles. it is not like Saudi military that took Yemen by force.
Aviation traffic has re-routed around Iran. that give strong push to that new Saudi airline. Many countries are diversifying export routes.
that Saudi city of Taif is very near to Syria and Jordan.

The Russian muslims the most advanced and powerfull of all muslim civilization currently accelerating the decline of Europe that will further dent Iran. it is these people who instead of defeating Ukraine do house to house searches to find out what kind of people reside in Russia-Ukraine border like Kursk or captured areas inside Ukraine. That youtube video that i posted of punching of Indian Hindu students in Russia to make sure they under standard the difference between Russia and Soviets. That is Russia AI power which is consistently enhancing Arabic Soft Power.

Chinese children, at least, will seek opportunities to verify answers when faced with such questions.

Some Westerners, however, will simply say that China is committing genocide, and if you try to explain this to them, they'll immediately accuse you of being a "50-cent party member" or a CCP robot.

So who has really been brainwashed? I think the answer is self-evident.

A Cuban mechanic builds a charcoal gasification system to power his old FIAT.

Coal gasification is old technology. It's been used by Germany in the world wars to create all kinds of gas and liquid fuels. Charcoal and wood could also be used for gasfication. China is the no.1 user of coal gasification today. So if the US is thinking about strangling oil supplies to it's adversaries, there are always ways to go around it.
