I have a preliminary thought.
Everything that's happening right now is US-led, with Israel merely being used as a scapegoat. Alternatively, the US was instigated by Israel to join the war, and Israel is the instigator of everything. Public opinion generally leans towards the second explanation, and this atmosphere gives me a very bad feeling that what the Nazis did could very well happen to the US again.
I don't believe Israel is innocent, but the mastermind behind these events in the Middle East may still be the US.
That will not be a good punishment for him. The best punishment for him is the mental torment of watching China rise and slowly ending western hegemony while he seethes and grits his teeth everyday."I will fly to Palawan in the Philippines, hire a boat"
And hopefully a storm will come and he will drift to the middle of the Pacific Ocean never to be found again and hopefully we have to never hear or read about this gigantic clown ever again forever.
A man can only dream.
Vance says "ceasefires are always messy" and U.S. "never indicated" Lebanon would be included in deal with Iran
US: "Muahahahah! Our war in Iran will show China who's the boss!"
China: "Sorry, what were you saying?"

The stock market clings to any good news it can get, so while the US and Iran aren't shooting eachother then its a pump in their books. The reality is, Israel was never happy with the ceasefire since they see the conflict in terms of total war to get rid of their opponents, so they upped the intensity of the war in Lebanon in hopes of sabotatging it. Iran and Pakistan are not happy Israel is violating a term of the ceasefire, so Pakistan as the mediator that hedged their regional prestige on it is stepping in trying to salvage the situation. Iran is letting them do so in order to save face, meanwhile the Strait of Hormuz remains closed under their watch and the US is at a loss at what to do, since in this scenario Iran is quite comfortable policing the Strait while not being bombed. Can someone explain what is actually happening with peace talks? If stock market is any indication, things are going well despite what they say.
The stock market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent. Can someone explain what is actually happening with peace talks? If stock market is any indication, things are going well despite what they say.
We will know in two weeks time. Can someone explain what is actually happening with peace talks? If stock market is any indication, things are going well despite what they say.
