Could just be transiting to a test site. But not even sure this isn’t a doctored image.
It could also be a photo op for all we know.

They're at a stage of testing where they probably want to take some imagery for the eventual post 2040 documentary on development of the aircraft lol

And we have no comments from the usual credible Gang?

What's the purpose of flying 2 prototypes at the same time? I don't believe we see that very often.
I have absolutely nothing to this beyond speculation. But we really don't know the full capabilities of these aircraft and whether they are always or optionally manned. But optionally manned is what I would expect out of any major platform being developed right now. And, if the latter, I would expect that you would see a manned aircraft flying in close proximity to an unmanned one to compare their flight characteristics....

You don’t need to fly right next to optionally manned aircraft. In fact you can fly dozens of kilometers away. They are not remote controlled planes.

That is almost certain thing going on. When looking for things regarding the "mini nuk sub"/XX1HQT program, I came across this tender from 2022. It said that the work is to produce documentary of the final type certification in 2025. It seems to me that recording video and audio through out the development process and produce a documentary is an integral part of PLA R&D.

How are you able to access this website? Pretty sure it’s been blocking foreign ips since 2021. Did you VPN your way in?
