Who said Hezbollah is finished?

So.. the Chinook came all the way from Jordan, a one-way distance of ~1,500km! ..tells you exactly how bad the situation is for US bases in the region. For reference, US h̶a̶s̶ had a large joint base with KSA at al-Kharj (near Riyadh) but it was also hit by Iran.
It must be the extended range MH-47G.

It is a very interesting image that basically saying that in front of today's infrared sensors reducing heat of the exhaust is NOT making meaningful difference from not doing it at all. The fuselage is brighter and much larger than the exhaust in the image making the reduction of exhaust size and brightness irrelevant regardless F-35 or F-22 style.

This suggests that 6th Gen fighter must pay equal or even higher attention to reduce the fuselage heat signiture. It is much more chanllenging than reducing exhaust signiture.

I think that’s an incorrect conclusion.

The primary purpose of exhaust IR suppression is to reduce the IE signature in your contrail. That means that at long range, your IE signature is a few pixels that might easily be filtered out as noise by the software, compared to a long smear of heat that will be much easier to pick up by both software and human eyes.

This instance is an example where the F35 is basically at point blank range to the SAM, and is not a useful reference point, just as a stealth fighter being picked up by a radar at single digit km range is no proof that radar stealth is useless.

Additionally, I think that that IR image has had special software filtering applied, as it doesn’t shown any of the peaks and troughs you would normally see in a more common thermal image. My guess is that the software was written to deliberately smooth out the temp gradient and show one uniform shape rather than pick out all the different shades of heat across the different parts of the plane. This would make sense for using thermal for detection and PID purposes, as it would be far more useful to have one large uniform image of a potential target rather than just a few really bright pixels that drowns out the details.

This is indeed quite revealing but not in the way most people seem to assume. It's extremely unlikely that Netanyahu is dead, but this still suggests that they are legitimately terrified and trying to minimize his predictable patterns.

That's why he isn't chairing the cabinet meetings and why his press conference is at a remote location. They don't think that they can effectively ensure his safety should the Iranians know ahead of time where he will be. It's very telling about the state of their missile defense capabilities and their counterintelligence efforts.

The grey zone warfare that Israel and the U.S. pioneered in Libya and Syria with Islamic state is coming back to blowback upon them in a big way. What is terrorism but an army without a state? Imagine that army now hunting down your F-35 and B-2 pilots with the singlemindedness of a mafia hitman.

The sub captain and personnel of the U.S. sub that sank that Iranian ship are gonna need round the clock protection, as would the Indians who enabled this attack.

Israel is preparing to occupy southern Lebanon.
On 17 March, Israel announced the launch of a new ‘limited and selective’ ground operation in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah positions. The Litani River has been established as the northernmost boundary of the occupation zone, leaving the south as an area of operations (yellow) where Hezbollah’s military infrastructure is to be dismantled. However, it is possible that the area will not be fully occupied, but rather that a buffer zone several kilometres deep will be created along the border, within which new outposts and bases will be established, similar to the new buffer zone created in Syria in 2025.
At present, between 40,000 and 50,000 Israeli soldiers have already been deployed along the border, whilst the number is expected to rise to approximately 75,000.

However, the IDF has submitted a request to the Knesset to mobilise up to 450,000 reservists in preparation for a possible expansion of the ground operation in Lebanon. If this request is approved, then the likelihood of an occupation operation in Lebanon similar to that of 1982 is high; an occupation which, given the number of troops involved, is likely to be protracted under the pretext of combating Hezbollah and protecting the northern border.
In Lebanon, news of this Israeli operation is viewed with great fear, as historical precedent suggests that a prolonged occupation would be accompanied by the destruction of infrastructure and displacement.

Boxer is indeed departing San Diego, but not to the middle east, it's going to the pacific

Quite frankly, especially with tweets and quick headlines, we should take 2 minutes to check the sources rather than filling several pages with wild speculation before checking.

Your same article also contains this paragraph.

The news of the deployment, which apparently came ahead of schedule, was first reported by Newsmax. The publication cited four officials who spoke about the accelerated deployment on the condition that they remain anonymous.

Boxer just held a change of command ceremony at Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) last Friday, March 13, less than a week before it was deployed.

“Accelerated Deployment” and “Ahead of Schedule” for routine operations.

Meanwhile, in the Israeli Media.

At least three US vessels depart San Diego, en route to Middle East, source tells 'Post'

However, the military is accelerating the deployment of Marine personnel and equipment to the Middle East, including the deployment of the USS Boxer, USS Portland, and USS Comstock, a US official told The Jerusalem Post on Friday morning.

Four officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said similar things to Newsmax.

One should be more concerning that the title uses the words “At Least” three vessels. That implies either more ships are coming to Middle East or are already en route.

I didn't post the tweets here because they seemed insignificant but many times Iran revealed hacked data & personal information of IDF pilots. It's buried somewhere in twitter.
