I just hope that it won't be too long before they would at least standardize red dots from like holosun or something, I've heard great things about the ARO-EVO

Technically they've already had the standard issue QMQ171 around for a while. Although that thing has the traditional procurement trope in that it "meets the army's specs" but kind of sucks. In particular there were complaints over blurry reticles (possibly from bad QC?)

Holosun red dots will likely remain rare unit level purchases. And to be honest if there's a sudden need where they mass procure them, I'm not confident that some units won't pull a PLA moment and buy the open emitter models or substandard knockoffs.

I will never understand the backwardness when it comes to individual soldier equipment like these are the guys that are going to land on Taiwan these are the guys that the drones will drop frag grenade ones

Why are you treating them like they are disposable garbage it makes no sense they seem to learn from all the past wars especially Ukraine Russia one yet the soldier are not being equipped adequately to combat the challenges they know are going yet still refuse the plagf soldier equipment modernization the plagf needs a deep purge and stop cheaping out on soldiers equipment I don't understand china have the manufacturing to making everything possible for soldier yet the still cheaping out

Holographic sights tend to have fuzzier/grainier reticles (especially at brighter settings), maybe that's what they're talking about.

In the image example I saw a few years back the reticle was smeared and blurry to the point it was unusable. Been trying to find the pic again but not having luck.

No he's talking about the QMQ171, the supposed holographic sight that the PLA uses, the QMK152 is just a prism scope

The only 'issue' I have with this thing is that it's kind of dim when aiming against object/building with brighter color. A brighter reticle would help.
