The National Defense Strategy — a dramatic shift from even the first Trump administration — no longer focuses primarily on countering China. Instead, it blames past administrations for ignoring American interests and jeopardizing the U.S. military’s access to the Panama Canal and Greenland.
"There are decades where nothing happens, and there are weeks where decades happen"

As far as geopolitics goes, US dropping China as the #1 top threat (alienating NATO allies is just a cherry on top bonus) in military strategy and defacto pulling back globally, esp. Asia-Pacific, it's a once in a generation type shift.

Deepseek and rednote honestly. The rest can be denied or coped but anyone can just go on DeepSeek or RedNote to see for themselves.
I agree with this. The average citizen does not care or understand military. Even when the 6th gen came out, or the Rafale embarrassment, cope and double think were there to protect their small bubble.

China military is both weak, paper tiger, untested, could only copy and the biggest threat to USA hegemony.

India was using export planes but they forgot Pakistan was also using export planes, or destroying 3rd world's airforce or a chinese weather balloon is worthy of a celebration and of legends but most importantly, "COMBAT TESTED." On the other hand, the Rafale shoot down doesn't prove anything because you also have to consider logistics, training. one of incident blah blah, so J-10C is still shit.

Meanwhile, Deepseek actually impacted and change people's perception in North America. I have friends that were obssessed about it, and were buying chip stocks. Then deepseek showed up and was there freely accessible to all for them to see it with their own eyes. That all the chip sanctions, how news and reddit were reporting how many years china were behind to usa literally every day, meant crap. The chip war is mostly forgotten.

Regardless, I am voting 6th gen cause it gave me the biggest impact. I am still ocassionally stunned about a three engine plane being real.

It is kinda ironic, given that Trump was the one to really put Chyna in the spotlight in North America during his first term campaign. After his bully techniques didn't work against china, he has to look for the next target.
