Is Jiangnan shipyard in Shanghai planning to build a conventional upgraded Fujian type carrier. Or the nuclear carrier is the only one currently in production.

Rumours and other circumstantial evidence like the carrier mockup would seem to indicate yes. But there is no physical evidence from Jiangnan of a new carrier under construction at this time.

in the 2023 taiwan war game by the CSIS, they've concluded that USN submarines were a very valuable asset, able to inflict reliable attrition on the PLAN fleet. Do you guys agree/did something significant change related to PLAN ASW since then?

Enemy subs will be in a world of hurt if they dare to venture within the First Island Chain because the area will be flooded with Chinese XLUUVs.

Correct me if I'm wrong but most of if not all of these systems are either in early adoption period or flatout experimental. It'll likely take a few more years at the minimum when these start getting mass produced and It'll take a few more years after that for numbers to be built up.

Until then PLAN is at a massive underwater disadvantage given the large qualitative and quantitative gap compared to the USN. Building more ASW frigates and aircraft helps but is not likely enough to keep the USN out in the near future.

We know nothing about their maturity and deployment status.

While you talked like these are mature and widely deployed platforms, as far as I remembered from the Chahuahui episode post 9.3 they mentioned "You'll know it's widely deployed when you start hearing about irregular whale activities" implying these systems are not in wide deployment.

The First Island Chain is already a rather hostile environment for hostile submarines without having to talk about future capabilities like XLUUVs.

Of all the factors to highlight PLA advancements in ASW within the FIC, XLUUVs are probably the least relevant.
