They're still trying to nab each other's market share, I see. Or is the positioning slightly staggered?
AFAIK 6x6 FAW MV3 is has lighter payload capacity than 6x6 Shaanxi HMV3, so maybe that difference extends to the 8x8 variant?
Actually the 6x6 Shaanxi HMV3 is the one with a higher payload, the lighter Shaanxi variant (the one in the same class as the FAW 6x6 '5 tons') lost the initial PLA 3rd gen military vehicles competition.
I expect the PLA will keep procuring the winning models as standard, these 8x8 and 4x4 variants might only see limited service, competing instead in the civilian and export market.
What are those vehicles in the second to last picture?
As stated in earlier reply those are the NIMR's JAIS MRAP which comes in 4x4 & 6x6 variants, it's a modified design of the original RG35 armored vehicle (developed by BAE Systems South Africa) whose full IP was acquired by NIMR, Saudi Arabia is the first costumer
with a local manufacturing deal by SAMI.
