Greetings, friends. Sorry, I'm posting in the wrong place! Are there any photos or the exact name of the 105mm APFSDS ammunition for the new tank? The only information online is that the muzzle velocity is 1740 m/s. Thank you! The ammunition was named for the ZTQ-15 DTW, but what should I do here? I need to create ammunition for the game, but there is no name or appearance, or is it too early to talk about it?

It's only the results from an experimental round. The actual round used is much, much heavier (over 9kg in projectile weight) and correspondingly the muzzle velocity is a lot lower, probably within the 1500-1550m/s range.

Is there any information on this? Or should I just use the same ammo as the ZTQ-15 while I'm in the game?
thanks for information!

A Chinese friend of mine told me that the penetration there can or does reach around 700 mm. I don’t know how accurate his data or beliefs are!

Data is still highly classified, all current understanding of the round is based on fragments of spent rounds in firing ranges. What we can know is that the perpetrator length is at least 830mm long, so I wouldn't be surprised if the round can reach m829a4 levels in penetration.

I somehow doubt that the ZTZ100 ammo is compatible with the L7, the lack of an ejection port and a fume extractor suggests that this is not an L7, so I wouldn't try comparing it to other L7s.

would you mind sharing where did you get this info and the penetrator weight? I'm genuinely curious

I highly doubt a 105mm projectile would reach the level of capabilities of the 120mm M829A4 much less the A2 or A1. Physics, man, Physics. If a 105mm reached the capability of a modern 120mm penetrator would mean a very short tube life.
No secret info is going to change physics.

A lot of people don't realize that barrel improvements is minimal compared to projectile improvements. The M829 series, is in the end, extremely length constrained at 985mm total length including propellant and case. A longer case and a longer round (1100mm+ total) simply is more effective. Not to mention that the L44 gun is in fact an outdated platform which is about 20% shorter than the 105mm L60.

I mean all we know is that it's a 105mm gun, nothing about the case capacity, barrel length, metallurgy, so constraining ourselves to the idea that a 105mm must be weaker sounds like 5.56 must be worse than 7.62x39
