Remember Eric Schmidt who is one of the US's leading AI experts where not too long ago he said China was inherently way behind the US on AI. Then suddenly he said China was fast catching up. Soon after that DeepSeek came out. I believe that was all within two years. How can any Westerner critically analyze anything when they can be so wrong so fast? What did he base how China was far behind on? Then he does a literal one-eighty saying China was fast catching up for it to then be confirmed when DeepSeek came out. He completely first just assumed then some information came to make him change his position. This wasn't a belief in optimistic gradual development. It's declaring something based on prejudice and not facts then it turns out to be outright wrong on what he believed first.
