Japan has been stagnating for past couple decades in exports and it still installing so many robots. even replacing old with new robots is not increasing production.
According to World Robotics - Industrial Robot Report 2018, recently published by the International Federation of Robotics, Japan is the world’s leading supplier of industrial robots. Japanese industrial robot manufacturers delivered just over half (almost 55%) of industrial robots supplied in 2017 – 39% more than in 2016.
Japan is not only a leading manufacturer and exporter of robots, it is also a leading robot adopter. With 297,200 industrial robots at work in Japan in 2017, Japan had the second highest installed base of industrial robots in 2017 (after China with 473,400 units).
Do some research in what you are talking about before opening your mouth. Iran literally has a draconian law that forces hijab onto women. How can you be sure someone is forced to wear a headscarf? Just based on your imagination? Wearing a headscarf is not a sign of being outdated or backward.
Thanks for the TLDR, I've been wondering what the specifics areIts interesting how they're pretending China is allowing Nexperia chip export, when the actual published Chinese rules is slavery:
- Only companies that's ran out of chips and facing shutdown can apply, meaning China can keep them in perpetual near shutdown state kill-able at a moment's notice
- The companies can't change to a different supplier, because unless they instantly switch the entire volume over, they'll cease to be in crisis and as such lose Nexperia supply before their new supplier ramps up.
- Companies can only get the chips if they pass comprehensive review, which means they have to disclose anything and everything China requires, continuously. These rules also obviously imply the companies cant stockpile chips, or buy them on someone else' behalf.
China offered them a bomb collar in exchange for being allowed to live, and they're celeberating, lol
It's an one year pause. And it is highly conditional on no new unilateral surprises/measures during that time.
The EU would do well in the meantime to try and diversify it's supply chain, using this pause as a bridge.
They won't.
I am once again asking all of these western countries to show us how it’s done with freedom and democracy, after all from the 90s, all you’d ever hear from western media mouthpieces was that China couldn’t innovate because it didn’t have free speech and lesbian underwater basket weaving programs or lawyers to provide sinecure to the scions of Zionist American elites.Yeah. Exactly.
How are they going to diversify their supply chains while they are mired in slow growth recession like environment with continuing de-industrialization in the background?
If they manage to diversify their supply chain, it will not be Europe because they are scaling back investment, because of de-industrializing.
They can try Asia to look for new suppliers. Do not go to RCEP the South East Asia part because that is all part of the China supply chain.
When they go to ask around in Japan and South Korea, they probably will hear a similar story, but not to the degree like it is in ASEAN.
Then they can ask the people who do not make the stuff, do you make the stuff?
They are getting stuck on the same old bottlenecks that they know about a long time ago.

They'll simply come up with plans to plan more plans for upcoming plans, as has been the case for the last 2 decadesI am once again asking all of these western countries to show us how it’s done with freedom and democracy, after all from the 90s, all you’d ever hear from western media mouthpieces was that China couldn’t innovate because it didn’t have free speech and lesbian underwater basket weaving programs or lawyers to provide sinecure to the scions of Zionist American elites.

The rare earths situation is somewhat solveable. It's just going to take a long time, a lot of hard work, and a willingness to lose a lot of money to accomplish. Unfortunately for the West, the people in power got there by not having to do any of the above, so I don't think that they're going to take the necessary steps until their stockpiles run low and someone starts really panicking. There aren't any shortcuts either, so any talk about fixing the problem in a couple of years means that nobody is willing to try yet.China listening to Americans explaining how they're going to solve this in 1-2 years is like an adult listening to a child describe how he'll build a moon rocket in his back yard lol
China knows exactly what's needed to solve RE, China might even know exactly what Americans need to do to solve RE, and China can and will kill off any attempt before Americans even realize those things need to be attempted.
The only viable way for America to solve RE is to invest in education and infrastructure today, then wait 5-10 years and do a really, really good job at pretending not to be a threat to China.
But instead they're arguing over if they should spend money to prevent 12% of their population from starving, lol
