New pic, but somehow I feel like the shape of this aircraft is all off. Giant dorsal bump doesn't look like a intake and it has some sort of spine that extends the entire way to the engine exhaust.
Don't worry, Zhuhai is only a year awayIt may be a hard requirement that all equipment displayed during the parade needed to be manned by a person, so drones even if they are mature enough to flyover never does and instead is displayed on trucks. If they are gonna show off robot dogs and UGVs I expect them to also be displayed on carrying vehicles.
TWZ has to let up every once in a while and give their audience some red meat to chew on. If they hit them with too much reality, they will call it all "fake" and disengage. The real attraction for eyeballs at TWZ is articles + discussion and have on the discussion.Fair, though TWZ is painting them as being "far from service" which is rather ridiculous.

"They don't like to show off" is not a statement that is compatible with a massive military parade. A more accurate statement might be that they don't like to show off non-mature equipment. Either way, there's only so much you can learn about a weapon just by looking at it. Presumably they've done their thinking and decided that the risk is not high enough vs. the PR value from the parade. But why display early and give away the surprise? It only makes you weaker since the your opponents can copy it or counter it.
China has shown again and again that they don't like to show off. They like to hide and bide instead. So, showing off tech before its ready is only going to make them weaker.
It goes against China's whole strategic thinking and past tendencies.
There are indeed photos of a certain UGV and four (?) robot dogs on a bed truck. If they are gonna show off robot dogs and UGVs I expect them to also be displayed on carrying vehicles.
