What's more interesting is it's not like they just don't see the gesture. They seem to be intentionally avoiding reciprocating them.

There is a compilation video on youtube or twitter about various world leaders avoiding/ignoring modi especially his hugs (most recently Macron before Starmer here)
In india they even criticize that Modi is only good that 'Jhappi diplomacy' aka 'Hug diplomacy'
Western folk dont really 'hug' mostly strangers like that? So modi is sorta 'invading' their space with the hugs and stuff.Cultural differences.

In india these hugs are associated/sold as with 'being close with world leaders' so it does wonders for the domestic audience.

Just a follow-up. I don't think serious people are going to stick around when their is all of this negative political pressure placed on them. This is fucking with the fundamentals of the economy level of stupid and I doubt the outcome will be good for America or even the world.

Trump has already made previous statements of blaming Biden for anything bad that happens to the economy, while taking credit for anything good that happens. If someone is delusional, reality does not penetrate. That is the whole definition of being delusional. They will blame others, portray themselves as the victim of persecution or incompetence, etc... The litany of excuses and scapegoats will literally never end.

To be fair, the fundamentals were bad under Biden too. Unlike Trump, however, he didn’t try fixing a broken leg by sawing it off.
