India should understand that it has been utterly defeated and humiliated in a backstab by its overlord.

Only then can they come to the light and begin the very slow and painful process of rebuilding.
We'll the Trump treatment was just the nail in the proverbial coffin of the India great power delusion as exhibited by the treatment Modi got from U.K. P.M. Steimer

But the key is the US get their markets tariff free
imagine if China could get that kind of concession. I mean it would worsen the their geopolitical standing long term but trump doesn’t care. Hard power counts more. But then blanket tariffs would just make US products even more expensive to export so I guys it evens out in a way
They tariffs for US goods in those markets were low in the first place (except Japan and SK with US agriculture). Even so American products were still losing marketshare (look at GM and Ford in Europe) to the point where US had to try to directly shut down non-US competitors. Zero tariffs won't change anything, with the exception of agricultural products.

Because a founding principle of PRC is to create a class-less society, to overturn the old imperial way of organizing society into 王-士大夫-民 classes, that's why the new phrase "人民" was invented to cover everybody and specifically made to be part of CPC's party slogan.
Sorry for being off topic. But if you look closely at 89 Tiananmen incident, the folks who led the initial revolts were indeed part of the 王 (liberals within the CPC who followed Hu Yaobang's line) and 士大夫 (students and intellectuals, especially liberals ones who sought to fully westernise China). In other words, the whole 89 thing was an elite's revolt to use the title of western liberalisation to preserve their privileges against China's majourity. The 80s neoliberal economic thoughts also support such elitism. The same Chinese neoliberals later include many high-ranking corrupt officials, scammers, those who privatised SOES into their own pockets, tycoons who earned their wealth through illegal means and escaped abroad, intellectuals who belittle Chinese civilisation and call for full westernisation, etc.

Trump has long been a neoliberal elite because it benefits his business empire. However, in order for him to enter into US politics, he has to adopt something different from the establishment. Therefore, he chooses the right-wing populist card by rightly blaming the negative externalities of neoliberal economics on Wall Street and banking tycoons (corporate folks and top 1%who caused the 2008 financial crisis and deindustrialised the USA), but wrongly on foreigners and immigrants.

In other words, one could make an arguments that both US and China have issues with neoliberal elites who appear to be the main culprits behind the massive inequalities and injustices we see today in the two respective societies.

Trump orders nuclear submarines moved near Russia

Aug 1 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said he had ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in regions near Russia in response to threats from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
"I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that," Trump said in a social media post that called Medvedev's statements highly provocative.

He said he ordered the submarines moved "just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that. Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances."
Trump and Medvedev, who is deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, traded taunts in recent days after Trump on Tuesday said Russia had "10 days from today" to agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine or be hit, along with its oil buyers, with tariffs.
Moscow, which has set out its own terms for peace in Ukraine, has shown no sign that it will comply with Trump's deadline.
Medvedev on Monday accused Trump of engaging in a "game of ultimatums" and reminded him that Russia possessed Soviet-era nuclear strike capabilities of last resort after Trump told Medvedev to "watch his words."
Medvedev has emerged as one of the Kremlin's most outspoken anti-Western hawks since Russia sent tens of thousands of troops into Ukraine in 2022. Kremlin critics deride him as an irresponsible loose cannon, though some Western diplomats say his statements illustrate the thinking in senior Kremlin policy-making circles.
