Allegedly there were some issues regarding "proper following of rules by media" during university game(?). Seems some anti CN taipei media blocked mainland media from covering CH. Taipei silver medalists.

We just had a 12 year old girl come in 4th at the women's 200m medley finals. Canadian Summer Macintosh is 18 years old and on fire. She beat us by 2.5 seconds (I think she totally smoked everyone on all of her races so far) but the silver and bronze were fractions of a second ahead of little Yu Zidi! Assuming she's not an early peaker who will run out of steam, she is a sure bet for the future gold and world record.

Next race to watch, women's 100m breaststroke finals where Asian record holder Tang Qianting will try to strike gold tomorrow morning 8:38AM Eastern US time. She got a silver at the Olympics because she was nervous and fell out of rhythm, essentially ending the pool length on a back sweep instead of a hand extension, handing the gold to South Africa.

for the 100m Freestyle final, recording the 10th-fastest time in the semifinals, 1.41 seconds slower than the World Record he set last year at the Paris Olympics.
Unfortunate. Not a swim fan really but there's this comment from someone who clearly follows and is in the know:

"The winner of the 100 free at the Olympics has not won the world title at the following World Championships since 1998 when Alexander Popov did it, and that was back when worlds took place two years after the Olympics."

There seems to be some factor about the 100m free that an athlete's peak form in particularly difficult to maintain as it takes a serious toll on the body that requires significant recovery time.
