And way too far forward. It ends (the very back of it) right above the nose landing gear.

All in all, this is actually quite a terrible model.

I wouldn’t criticize it too much.

in real life fighter development, prototype configuration often overemphasize certain aspects that the design is suppose to accentuate, like stealth. after initial prototype flight, practicality prevails and stealth emphasis is toned down somewhat in favor of things like pilot view, internal volume, transonic drag, etc.

you see this in the development of F-22, F-35 and J-35 and to a lesser extent the J-20.

Given the price of these large, diecast models, I feel like you would want to be very confident that every last angle, curve and detail is correct, and I'm not sure the public imagery is there to support that yet, notwithstanding the changes that are likely to occur as development progresses. Still, it's tempting...
What does a model like this cost? Tested (YouTube channel hosted by Adam Savage from MythBusters) recently features a hand made replica of the USS Voyager (Star Trek: Voyager) that was $18,000 (!!!). I assume these must be in like the $50 dollar range given the quality of the build on display.

I see we get the same Youtube recommendations! Looking on Aliexpress, I see there are stores selling the AF1 "J-50" 1:72 diecast model for AUD $110-240 including delivery to Australia, which is USD $70-$155.

I have AF1's J-36 diecast model in 1:144 scale here, which was only USD $25 delivered:

(They also do a larger 1:72 version with more moving parts.)
