It will be interesting to see if Iran has any SAM left to attack the B-2 since they should be highly prepared to defend against the strikes.

If they can hit even 1 b-2, the blow to US credibility will be devastating.
I mean it will probably be preceded by the mother of all DEAD ops, I seriously doubt there will be any AD in the way by the time B2s come Rolling. US might even test the waters with decoys/UAVs before actually putting their strategic bombers in harm's way.

Even now the potential flight path will be under 24/7 satellite surveillance with AI target identification to locate AA ambush points.

There is a counter counter tactic to everything. If Iran is smart, they have saved their best AA for fordow in complete concealment and will bring it out after its absolutely certain the B-2 is on top or already launched a bomb. DEAD will not work if the AA is not even turned on.

If other countries also help in terms of anti-stealth radar or sat intelligence, they might have a chance.

Don't you expect that this would require too much competency for current Iran?

Also even if they were competent enough to do it, Mossad already knows everything about this plan

Russia should be able to help Iran to take down the B-2 whether it's by providing extra SAM or targeting info.
after how the US provided weaponry and targeting info to Ukraine to target Russian strategic bombers plus the Moskva. it would be downright treasonous of Putin to not help Iran take out the B-2, treasons not towards Iran but towards Russia itself.

Backing to Diego Garcia?

Current Cambridge Analytica CEO Oliver Alexander's speculations regarding the operational B-2 bomber formations:

1. Immediate midair refueling after departing Whiteman AFB suggests these aircraft are carrying near-maximum payloads. Unless conducting an immediate strike on Iran, munitions could've been pre-deployed to Guam or Diego Garcia via C-5/C-17 transports to avoid logistical complications from extra refueling and airframe stress - making this approach seem unnecessary.

2. Should the B-2s proceed toward Iran, they'd reach target areas hours before Sunday 6 PM EST futures market opening. The Trump team would theoretically have time for press conferences or interviews to influence markets pre-opening.

3. Pre-positioned KC-135 and KC-46 tankers at global bases perfectly support what would be history's longest (and first circumnavigation) bomber mission - exceeding the Afghanistan strike distance (see graphic). Believing the "record-setting" aspect would appeal to the face-conscious "TACO" is entirely reasonable.

4. Avoiding Diego Garcia takeoffs means: Under lease terms, the US legally avoids notifying Mauritius about this strike.
