The expansion of Tongchuan engine test base continues. A new 1000-ton test bench is being planned. It will feature two test stands. IIRC, this is the second vertical 1000-ton test bench being planned or built after the one in Xintai, Shandong.

Special equipment developed by Donghua University (东华大学) that makes basalt fibers from lunar soil. It can run on solar power and works in micro-gravity environments. The fibers can be used as insulation material and structural reinforcement for the future moon base.
