These people could never imagine that maybe, just maybe, falling interest in liberal democracy not just in China, but around the world, is a direct consequence of its disastrous track record in the last two decades, from the War on Terror, to the broken expectations of the Obama years, to the rise of Trump and American fascism.

Perhaps Western democracy just isn't all it's hyped up to be? It sure hasn't been a ticket to wealth and prosperity for the vast majority of countries that's adopted it, and the rise of China proves that other political systems can also succeed.

Dunno about China but Russia already did all it could. Assad should have been gone years ago but Russian support extended it. The problem is you have to teach a man how to fish and Syria is someone who refuses to learn. There's a reason why all these middle eastern states get wrecked by Israel even when they all team up. The US didn’t take drones seriously as a weapon of war. There was some military official that mocked Elon Musk when he posted about the US should concentrate on drones and not stealth fighters. Maybe it’s that American mentality that thinks that everything comes so easily for Americans overnight that puts them at ease so they don’t think about it.

I’m not saying go all-in on drones but not to take them seriously like the US brass has been doing is asinine. Anyone ever see that video out of the Russian/Ukraine conflict where a Ukrainian FPV drone is going after two soldiers. The drone is buzzing around them like a fly while they’re evading and firing their assault rifles at it at point blank range. All their bullets miss. It’s only when one soldier runs out of bullets he has to throw his assault rifle at it and then hits it and it explodes. That’s how difficult it is to hit something buzzing and jinking around.

I was reading about blasting microwaves at drones as a solution but you have to first spot the drone in order to use it but then if if you use microwaves it affects also everything behind it for some distance meaning you might hit your own assets in the process trying to target drones coming at you from any direction.

I’m reading soldiers are deathly afraid of drones which are essentially flying IEDs that come after them when spotted. And the US is finding it difficult figuring out a defense because of how they didn’t take drones seriously meaning there’s not an effective defense technological or not against them.

Frankly people should stop hyping up the Uighur terrorist threat. Yeah they’re killers but what makes them supermen from anyone else? There are many other targets to sell to or support, should China pursue such a policy, the Kashmir side is best left alone for PAK to deal with.
