Context? Any production facility?
Aside from increase production, hiring new technical worker, They will also need to expand their facility. The Chinese had kill 3 birds with one stone namely.

1) Geopolitical, it allowed the EU a leverage against US hegemony.

2) creating a duopoly of Airbus and COMAC in the Chinese market, sidelining Boeing.

3) Economics, Increase the technical ability of Chinese workers and new employment.

So win win all around, everybody benefits except Trump. ;)

The Airbus Tianjin plant, officially the Tianjin Final Assembly Line (FAL), is a critical facility for Airbus in China and globally. Inaugurated in 2008, it was the first Airbus commercial aircraft assembly line outside of Europe. The plant assembles A320 Family aircraft, with a second FAL project currently under construction to expand capacity.

The Airbus Final Assembly Line (FAL), is a major part of Airbus's global production network, particularly for the A320 family of aircraft and has played a significant role in the Chinese aviation industry.

Here's a more detailed look:
  • Historical Significance:
The Tianjin FAL opened in 2008, marking Airbus's first commercial aircraft production line outside of Europe.

  • Production Capacity:
The first FAL in Tianjin has been a key producer of the A320 family, delivering over 600 aircraft by 2023.

  • Expansion and Future:
Airbus has plans to expand its production in Tianjin with a second FAL, which will further increase its capacity in the region.

  • Supply Chain Integration:
The Tianjin FAL is supported by a growing Chinese supply chain, including AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry Group, which assembles wings that are directly delivered to the FAL.

  • Impact on Chinese Aviation:
The Tianjin FAL and the broader Airbus presence in China contribute significantly to the country's aviation industry, including the development of local expertise and the strengthening of the aviation supply chain
