i must say though that my enthusiasm is somewhat tempered by the understanding that the iaf on the 7th was about as cooperative an enemy as one could have hoped for. a lack of functional network integration coupled with a ridiculous operational objective that appeared to expect zero pakistani resistance paints a picture of pakistan just shooting indians in the back.

Another Indian soldier, resident of Kashmir, blames Indian conspiracy

Also eye witness telling reporter that the fighter jet was making a circle before crashing down. Maybe it was doing evasive maneuvers at the time before being it hit by the PL-15.
The eyewitness who recorded the flares and then the crash was in Kashmir. The eyewitness who saw aircraft on fire circling around the villages before crashing was in Bathinda.

Weird that they were flaring, they should've known that it was an ARH missile and chaff is usually invisible because it's literally small strips of metal. So IMO I don't think it was flares that they saw maybe aircraft debris?

I remember people were hyping Jaishankar coz he has experience with east asia and married a Japanese.

Turns out he didn't learn a goddamn thing from his experience there.. Not much different from western sexpats who call themselves asian experts.
I don't believe this is a Jaishankar specific issue, but rather the general Indian psychee. Indian psychee is that of a cowardly bully who tries to intimidate smaller neighbours and simply expects them to submit because that is what they would do in that position. Pakistan's refusal to be bullied and fight back therefore shocks them because it challenges that worldview. Look at their behaviour towards Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.

It is like the USA of South Asia.

Is there now a claim that the JF17 scored a kill against a Mig29?
It would conflict with the statements previously made where the J10 was credited with all kills initially.

I will admit despite my previous complaints, some of the misinformation from both sides has provided some serious chuckles. The Pakistanis definitely have the edge on trolling though!
